my co-workers were chatting about the oxford comma on the twitters. best response-quote: “‘Dedicated to my parents, Ayn Rand and God.’”

LOL! I’m so torn on this comma thing though. I mean, if there were only two nouns “We invited JFK and Stalin” then you wouldn’t need a comma! But you do pause after each so I think it does make sense.

No a serial comma is used in a list of 2+, not 2

I’m sorry I don’t even care right now, that is Stalin and Hitler in stripper outfits

To write the sentence correctly without the Oxford comma, you just have to re-order the list to “JFK, Stalin and the strippers.” That easily eliminates the confusion. However, I still prefer the Oxford comma.

This was inevitable, but also painfully true
